You are invited to attend a free workshop on Tuesday 10 October to find out more about how we, as a destination, ensure that we are cruise-ready and cruise-friendly, ahead of the new Aberdeen South Harbour opening in 2020.
Event title: Making the most of cruise ships in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
Date: Tuesday 10 October 2017
Time: 09:45-12:30 or 13:15-16:00
Location: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Aberdeen Treeptops, AB15 7AQ
This is your chance to get ahead of the game and learn how the global billion-dollar cruise industry works, understand what cruise passengers are looking for and what this region can offer this particular audience. We will be launching our official 'Being Cruise Ready, Business Opportunities Guide' at the workshop which will give you all of the additional information you will require to start planning for future cruise-friendly business activities.
You will also be given an update on the current development of the harbour extension at Nigg Bay and the workshop will provide a platform for discussion about how we can work together to make the most of this new industry.
These short workshops, run by VisitAberdeenshire in partnership with Scottish Enterprise and Aberdeen Harbour Board, are open to any tourism business who want to welcome cruise ship passengers in 2020; including transport operators, visitor attractions, activity and experience providers, tour guides and retail outlets.
Please book one workshop with a maximum of one delegate attending per business. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
