Our Autumn Shire Connections will concentrate on the regions tourism industry.

Visitors to Scotland are increasingly searching for unique and different experiences; and inspiration for what to see and do next.

VisitScotland’s internationally respected chief executive of seven years, Malcolm Roughead OBE, will discuss the growing importance of experience-led tourism such as touring routes and ‘packaged’ destination experiences. He will also look at how VisitScotland is working with industry and partners to curate and create inspiring content, while developing a digital approach to make sure inspiration is always available to potential visitors.

Malcolm will be joined by VisitAberdeenshire’s newly appointed chief executive, Chris Foy, who will be joining the organisation in August.
There will be an opportunity for delegates to ask questions after the presentation, with a delicious networking lunch to follow.
