In March the refreshed tourism strategy for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire was launched to yourselves and your colleagues in the local tourism industry.

This is a plan for everyone working in tourism in the North-east and will provide guidance for the next five years. It provides a framework to help grow visitor spend to £1 billion per annum by 2023. Not one organisation by itself can achieve this ambitious target. It will require a collaborative approach where all local tourism businesses, organisations and agencies work together to achieve the common objective of attracting more visitors to the North-east of Scotland.

This is why we asked you to share your thoughts on the strategy during early April. The next step is to turn our collective thoughts into ambitious and realistic actions. You are now invited to attend one of five planning events held throughout the region where you can help shape the action plans. Two of these sessions will look at the overarching ambitions to Developing a Great Visitor Experience; one will focus on Inspiring Visitors with our Story; one will concentrate on a Food and Drink action plan; and one will cover Touring and the Great Outdoors.

Join us at this session as we create plans to develop and implement great visitor experiences in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
