Adventure Tourism Facilities Grant

This grant will support accommodation providers in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire to enhance their accommodation facilities to better meet the needs of the fast-growing mountain biking and adventure tourism market. The scheme offers the opportunity to apply for funding for enhanced facilities, such as secure bike storage, an outside wash area, dedicated kit drying space and/or secure storage for water sports or snow sports equipment.
Funding assistance of up to £500 is available to enhance the provision of facilities which has been highlighted as a key requirement for visitors seeking adventure in the outdoors. This contribution is a maximum of 50% of overall project costs per property. Costs may comprise equipment, installation, preparation and setup. Accommodation providers can apply for more than one property.
The deadline for applications is 9 January 2022. Successful applicants will be required to purchase equipment, complete installation works and submit claim paperwork by 13 March 2022.
