Receive a free sustainability audit of your business

As part of our Business Recovery Programme, we are delighted to be working in partnership with Green Tourism to deliver sustainability audits for local tourism and hospitality businesses at no cost to you.

A growing focus on sustainability, particularly in the wake of COP26, means that more and more businesses are looking at what they can do to embrace responsible and sustainable tourism. This audit will help you identify areas where you can make improvements to become more sustainable, whether you are at the start of your sustainability journey or whether you are already taking steps to reduce your impact on the planet.

The sustainability audit will result in tailored advice on the steps you can take to become more sustainable in the form of one-to-one advice and a prioritised action plan for your business. The audits will take place over the next couple of months from January through to mid-March 2022 at a time to suit you.

Below is an outline of the audit process and the commitment required from you to participate:

  • Completion of a short pre-audit survey to help inform the audit
  • 1-hour one-to-one tailored advice session with a Green Tourism Assessor (via Zoom or Teams) which will include a review of any activity you are currently undertaking
  • Following the meeting you will receive a prioritised action plan tailored to your business, with recommendations on next steps
  • A further 1-hour one-to-one session to discuss the action plan and any questions arising

The sustainability audits are offered to tourism and hospitality businesses based in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so we advise you to apply quickly if you would like to participate.
