Seeking your views on the future of tourism in the North-east

Work is underway to reassess the current destination strategy for tourism in North-east Scotland. This is timely as the region looks forward following the disruption of restrictions from the past two years, and the consequences felt on both demand and supply sides of the sector.

The purpose of a refreshed strategy is to become a guiding light for decision making for anyone involved in the sector, highlighting opportunities, priorities, and setting a series of indicators and realistic targets for getting the sector back on track.

Tourism consultants Blue Sail have been commissioned to undertake this reassessment, looking at both demand and supply side factors that will influence the sector in the coming years. A critical aspect of their work is to take into account your views.

Today we are launching an online consultation and we invite you to participate. The confidential survey, which should take no more than 10 minutes to complete can be accessed here. It is open until Friday 4 March.

We will keep you up to date on developments.
