Opportunities to work with us

Tourism businesses in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are invited to work in partnership with us on a number of initiatives.

Whether that’s helping us spread the word about the North-east across digital channels, attending exhibitions, offering us competition prizes or by hosting journalists during press trips; there are several opportunities to work in partnership with us. The first place to start is by making sure your tourism business is listed on our website! If it is, make sure all of the details are accurate, up to date and you have a great image.

Website listings

If you are a local tourism business operating in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire then make sure you are listed on our website. To get listed just visit our ‘submit your business’ page. If you’re already listed then make sure it’s up to date, if you need to make any small changes please email submissions@visitabdn.com.

What's On Listings

If you would like to promote your event for free on the VisitAberdeenshire website, this can be submitted by following the link http://industry.visitabdn.com/home/submit-my-business-event/submit-my-event-2 and completing the e-form. We send out regular newsletters and social media posts, these are themed and on occasion we may be able to include your business or event.

Social media hashtags

We’ve got a captive and growing audience across all seven of our social media channels. To engage with us, make sure you follow us, tag us in your posts and use the hashtags #beautifulABDN (best used for inspiring imagery) or #visitABDN (best used for information sharing). 

Itinerary builder

Use the new itinerary builder function on our website to give your guests/visitors ideas of things to do and places to visit during their stay. You can save, print and share your itineraries too. 

Press trips hosts

We regularly host high profile press trips from across our target markets with journalists and media from across the globe. We work with local partners and in return for your support we ask journalists/bloggers to ensure you feature in their article/blog. For more information please email stevie.brown@visitabdn.com. Deals & Promotions

In order to attract both leisure and business tourists to the region we work directly with local tourism businesses to secure money-saving deals and promotions. This might be for a one off event or a promotion for the whole year. If you would like to offer a special deal please fill in the deals & offers form.

Competition prizes

In order to engage with our thousands of social media followers and ultimately attract visitors to the region, occasionally we partner with local businesses and stakeholders to run competitions. Prizes offered can range from accommodation and food & drink to festival tickets and entry in to attractions. If you would like to gain extra exposure by running a competition with us, please fill in the competitions form.

Corporate Gifts

Where appropriate we provide corporate gifts to buyers on familiarisation trips and exhibitions stands. If you would like to supply us with a corporate gift, ideally a small item that is locally produced, please contact julia.heys@visitabdn.com.

Exhibition partners

We facilitate exhibition space and stands at a number of high profile leisure and business events throughout the year. If you would like to speak directly to travel agents or travel trade please email Raeanne.verlegh@visitabdn.com for more information about upcoming opportunities. 

FAM Trip hosts

To increase levels of business and leisure tourism in the region we facilitate familiarisation (FAM) visits with travel agents, travel trade and conference & event’s organisers. VisitAberdeenshire Tourism Conference

The VisitAberdeenshire Tourism Conference will take place on 20th March during Scottish Tourism Week.  The full-day conference, held by the region’s destination management organisation VisitAberdeenshire, will comprise of a variety of different presentations, where delegates hear from expert speakers who can help their business, with the opportunity to ask questions as well as giving a relaxed environment in which to exchange ideas and network with like-minded people, surgeries and workshops.

Business to Business Networking Events

An afternoon session which will feature an inspirational guest speaker, key updates from VisitAberdeenshire and an informal environment in which to meet and network with fellow Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire tourism businesses.

Industry Forum

The VisitAberdeenshire Industry Forum is by invite only and acts as forum for the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire Tourism Industry to engage with VisitAberdeenshire at a more strategic level to seek feedback and input into future VisitAberdeenshire activities and address key issues.
