Deirdre is VisitAberdeenshire’s Insights & Evaluation Manager. Day-to-day, Deirdre focuses on sharing new insights to support the team’s work, project manages commissioned research activity and evaluates the impact of VisitAberdeenshire’s work.

Deirdre has more than 20 years’ tourism experience, working in public sector and education.

Here’s three things you might not know about Deirdre:

• Some of Deirdre’s favourite things to see and do in the region include discovering the latest foodie/coffee places, exploring the beaches with her children and watching the destination changing through the seasons – never get tired of this one!
• Her favourite part of her job is transforming data into insights with the “so what” factor.
• She loves singing, mainly in Gaelic, but has a go at anything. A highlight being performing with the Houston Choral Showcase on several occasions during her time abroad.
