Fiona Douglas

Fiona is VisitAberdeenshire’s HR & Business Services Manager, overseeing the organisation’s business operations across Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Governance, Office and Facilities Management, and Health & Safety. As Company Secretary, Fiona provides governance support to the Chair and Board of Directors.

She also leads VisitAberdeenshire’s Welcome to Aberdeenshire Volunteer Programme and coordinates the organisation’s engagement with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), the Foundation Apprenticeship Scheme, and student placement initiatives, supporting skills development across the regional tourism sector.

Fiona has more than 15 years’ Office/Business Management experience, working in both the commercial and not for profit sectors.

Here’s three things you might not know about Fiona:

• Some of Fiona’s favourite things to see and do in the region include watching gigs and shows at P&J Live, The Music Hall, His Majesty’s Theatre and venues across the region. Fiona also loves heading outdoors to enjoy a walk with Aden Country Park and Pitfour Lake being two of her favourite spots.
• Fiona enjoys the variety her role brings from supporting colleagues, the Board and volunteers to helping develop the region’s future workforce, ensuring that no two days are ever the same.
• Fiona is a big Manchester United fan and loves going to Old Trafford to watch them. She is keeping her fingers crossed the glory days return again!
