Meet Rachel.

Rachel is VisitAberdeenshire’s Tourism Business Adviser. Rachel supports the planning and delivery of our Tourism Development Programme, leading on sustainable and inclusive tourism, and our pioneering Travel Trade Ready Programme. Day-to-day, Rachel provides product development advice to businesses and maintains content on our industry website.

With over 10 years of experience working in the tourism industry, specialising in travel trade partnerships, Rachel has worked across the sector, including accommodation, visitor attractions, and tour operators.

Here are three things you might not know about Rachel:

• Some of Rachel’s favourite things to see and do in the region include walking through historic woodlands with her Border Collie, exploring fishing villages along the coastal roads, and stopping for a locally made ice cream along the way.
• Her favourite part of her job is working alongside such a diverse range of tourism businesses in the region and helping them to grow.
• Rachel loves painting and takes inspiration from local wildlife, particularly curlews and puffins, which can be spotted in the area at various times of the year.
