Taste the North-east
Food and drink is at the heart of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with many visitors coming to the region to discover and sample the local produce. Our 2024 annual consumer survey showed ‘enjoying local food and drink’ ranked as the top activity to undertake whilst on holiday, with the majority of respondents stating that they love to taste and experience local food and drink.
Provenance Festival
The Provenance Festival celebrates Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire’s food and drink producers, offering visitors hands-on experiences, behind-the-scenes access, and the chance to taste and enjoy local produce.
The festival will take a break in 2025, returning in 2026 with even more to offer. If you’re a food or drink producer and want to get involved, find out more below.
Scotland Food & Drink
Scotland Food & Drink is the industry leadership organisation for Scotland’s food and drink sector. Established in 2007, it brings together farmers, fishers, processors, retailers, and exporters. With over 450 members, it offers business development, market insights, networking, and professional support.
Their strategy, ‘Sustaining Scotland. Supplying the world’, supports growth, sustainability and global reach for Scottish food and drink businesses.
VisitScotland Support Hub
VisitScotland’s support hub hosts lots of advice and support, and can be split into sectors. In their food and drink section, you can find advice on creating a new food and drink experience, delivering a quality experience, case studies and insights.
