Light the Blue is a multi-artform festival created for young people, by young people. Taking place in venues across Aberdeen city centre it features a lineup of theatre, dance, music, film, circus and more.

Cornhill Highland Games - 7 June

Part of the Scottish Highland Games Association and Grampian Games Association, Cornhill Highland Games is one of the highlights on the calendar for the local community, as well as the numerous visitors who attend from throughout north east Scotland and far beyond.

The 2025 Cornhill Highland Games will take place on Saturday 7 June 2025 in Cornhill near Banff.

Steam and Vintage Fair 14 - 15 June

The Bon Accord Steam Engine Club holds its annual steam fair over a weekend at Castle Fraser in Aberdeen-shire. The event includes steam engines, vintage tractors, classic and vintage cars, working exhibits, commercial vehicles, stationary engines, military vehicles, models and miniature steam engines and much more.

Scottish Traditional Boat Festival - 27 - 29 June

As one of the country’s largest maritime culture and heritage celebrations, the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival is enjoyed by visitors from near and far.

Thousands of people drop anchor at Portsoy, packing into the Aberdeenshire town’s picturesque harbours and seafront areas to savour the spectacle.

Drumtochty Highland Games - 28 June

If it is the fourth Saturday in June it must be Auchenblae and the "Drumtochty Highland Games". This has been the tradition for over 40 years.

Known as the friendliest Highland Games in the area they are firmly established in the Scottish Highland Games calendar as one of the most outstanding events.
