Aberdeen Convention Bureau
Aberdeen Convention Bureau is responsible for promoting the region as a business events destination. The team proactively highlight the regions assets to the business events industry, through memberships (including ICCA, ABPCO, PCMA, and SITE), hosting familiarisation trips/industry events, and carrying out joint activities with VisitScotland and VisitBritain. They work in partnership with local academics, stakeholders, and partners to bid for association conferences, host site inspections for interested parties, and support those bringing association conferences and events to the region. Support services include travel discounts, venue sourcing, accommodation booking services, professional conference management/destination management company appointment, public outreach/impact activities, and marketing collateral. In addition to this, the team work with Destination Management Companies (DMC) to attract incentive groups to the region by promoting partners, regional assets and helping DMC Project Managers to confirm the very best programme for their clients.
