We Too!
We Too! is a customer-driven charity that empowers parents and carers of children with disabilities by facilitating, guiding, and promoting inclusive events and activities. Founded in summer 2015 by a local parent frustrated by the lack of accessible information for her disabled son, the charity began with a simple idea: to create a free, quarterly ‘What’s On’ guide for the community.
Today, We Too! magazine is unique in Scotland, reaching a readership of 31,000 across the region. We Too! is also widely recognised as the leading provider of ‘Relaxed Sessions’ in North East Scotland—events either run by We Too! or supported by partner organisations that benefit from the charity's training and expertise in inclusivity.
In 2020, We Too! received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, becoming the youngest organisation in the area to do so. Most recently, it won the ‘Celebrating Thriving Communities’ award at the Thistle Awards and Event of the Year at the Celebrate Aberdeen Awards for its Dream Night series with Codona’s.
