Jacqueline van den Akker is the founder of Grampian Escapes & Tours, based in the North-east of Scotland. She moved to Aberdeen in 2001 due to a job transfer in the Energy Industry. After nearly two decades in the corporate world, Jacqueline decided to follow her passion for tourism and founded Grampian Escapes & Tours in 2017. Her goal is to showcase the stunning landscapes, history, and culture of Aberdeenshire to visitors. Today, Grampian Escapes has grown into a team of three dedicated guides, welcoming guests from around the world. Specialising in small group and independent tours, they share their expertise on local heritage, hidden gems, and authentic Scottish experiences.
