Nicola Teal, Senior Hub Economist at Harbour Energy since November 2021, has an MSc in Basin Evolution and Dynamics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BSc in Geology and Geography from Keele University.
Nicola and John, Baron of Leslie, were initially looking for a small holiday home or B&B in Aberdeenshire having moved from London with the oil industry in 1999, but fell in love with Leslie Castle and decided to take on the larger project. They knew that to preserve the property for future generations, and pay for the maintenance, it needed a purpose, and the castle is now a bed and breakfast. They share it in the way that they would like to experience it, with individual couples and families, interested in the story of the place.
