VisitAberdeenshire releases 'Stories from our Home'
31 March 2022
VisitAberdeenshire has released a suite of captivating videos featuring local people who work in or around the tourism sector, describing their passion for the region and why they are proud to call it home.
Tying in with VisitScotland’s Year of Stories, each video shows a different aspect of the north-east from its culture and heritage, dramatic scenery, wildlife and food and drink.
Chris Foy, CEO VisitAberdeenshire said: “Recent research by VisitAberdeenshire suggested a need to gain attention for the region by focusing on aspects that make the area different and highlighting the diversity on offer. So who better to emphasise that diversity than the authentic voices in these videos which really capture the essence of the area and the many reasons to visit.”
The videos feature:
- Karen Henderson – Aberdeen Art Gallery
- Carole Short – Down on the Farm
- Andy Shanks – Johnshaven Heritage Hub
- Mike Wilkes – Macdui Bike Adventures
- Angus Hayhow – Mackie’s of Scotland
- Alan Clarke – Meldrum House Hotel
