As of 1 February 2022, we launched our Above and Beyond campaign to promote Aberdeen as a top business event destination for conferences, associations, corporate meetings and exhibitions. The purpose of the campaign is to showcase Aberdeen by focusing on its six key strengths, including its pioneering strengths (Health & Life Sciences, Energy Transition and Hydrogen) and its strengths as an event destination (Well-connected, Open Spaces and Sustainable Venue).
There is a two-fold objective to the marketing campaign. Firstly, the campaign will increase awareness of Aberdeen’s profile as a feasible and viable option for event organisers to consider. Secondly, the campaign will also generate engagement by encouraging event organisers to either get in touch to make general enquiries or to request a proposal. We endeavour to achieve both objectives through targeted digital adverts on social media and key platforms within the event industry such as M&IT, AMI and the Delegate Wranglers, and audiences will be driven to the dedicated landing page on our website.
