Our Make a Day Of It summer campaign followed on from the success of the spring campaign which was delivered earlier in 2022. The campaign targeted local audiences in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, as well as people living in the neighbouring counties of Angus and Moray, inviting them to make a day of it and rediscover what's on their doorstep.
Working in partnership with DC Thomson and Original 106, the campaign was promoted through their print channels, digital and radio. The campaign launched with an eight-page supplement, distributed with the Press & Journal on Friday 24 June, and focused on Culture & Heritage, Adventure & Activities and Food & Drink. Over the six weeks of the campaign, Original 106 promoted it by visiting different towns in Aberdeenshire each week, meeting locals, promoting the competition and handing out giveaways. The competition was also promoted in the Evening Express weekly.
