A Travel Trade Update

I’m Alanna Fowler, Travel Trade Executive at VisitAberdeenshire. As Travel Trade Executive, my role is to promote Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to the global travel market. I connect with buyers worldwide and introduce them to the diverse mix of products available to visitors to the region.
Through attending trade shows, one-to-one appointments and hosting familiarisation visits, I showcase the North-east to a wider audience.
I work closely with my colleague, Rachel Smith, to take businesses through our Travel Trade Ready Programme, ensuring that our region's offerings meet the high standards of trade buyers and their customers, before highlighting these offerings at trade shows.
From agritourism, history and heritage, food and drink and accommodation, I take pride in the vast array of authentic products available here.
Over the coming weeks and months, I will be attending a series of trade shows such as Britain & Ireland Marketplace in London, the Coach Tourism Association event in Newcastle, and Meet the Nordics in Stockholm. In April, we will be welcoming VisitScotland Connect back to Aberdeen for its second year which is a brilliant opportunity for buyers to see Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and all that it has to offer for themselves.
