Taste of Buchan celebrates third successful year supporting local food, businesses and future talent.

VisitAberdeenshire was delighted to support Taste of Buchan for the third consecutive year.

VisitAberdeenshire was delighted to support Taste of Buchan for the third consecutive year, continuing its partnership in a project that brings together local businesses, schools and the wider community to celebrate the region’s food and drink sector while providing valuable real-world experience for young people.

Collaborative working

The programme began in June 2025 with an introductory classroom session led by VisitAberdeenshire, where pupils were introduced to the structure of a curated event and the range of roles required to deliver them successfully.

The project continued throughout the academic year, including an away day team-building session at P&J Live in September. During this session, pupils worked collaboratively to develop event concepts, explore responsibilities and take part in an application and interview process for project roles.

Further classroom visits in November 25 and February 26 supported planning and preparation ahead of the main event, which took place on Thursday 26 February at the Palace Hotel, Peterhead.
