Accommodation is central to the visitor experience. Knowing how many rooms and nights are available across the destination - and how that supply is distributed between Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire - helps businesses, planners and marketing teams make smarter decisions.
Aberdeenshire Accommodation Audit
VisitAberdeenshire, on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council, commissioned Tourism Resources Company to carry out a baseline audit to provide the most accurate measure of accommodation stock across the Aberdeenshire local authority area. This section includes the high-level factsheet, while the more detailed slide deck and full report are available on request by contacting insights@visitabdn.com.
Aberdeen City Accommodation Audit
Funded by Aberdeen City Council, this project was delivered by Tourism Resources Company, who also conducted the Aberdeenshire accommodation audit in 2023. This section includes the high-level factsheet summarising key findings, while the more detailed slide deck is available on request by emailing insights@visitabdn.com. The audit identified 575 establishments, 7,078 rooms and 14,234 bedspaces within the city boundary, providing a clearer understanding of Aberdeen’s accommodation stock to support conferences, events and planning for future needs.
