This month the Port of Aberdeen's South Harbour welcomed its first cruise ship, the 202m long AIDAaura. As passengers disembarked and set off to explore the City and Shire, the welcome offered by our volunteers, transport providers, retailers, cafés, restaurants and attractions was truly representative of the best of the North-east. A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes to bring this step change in cruise ship arrivals to fruition. It’s a great start, and we look forward to welcoming thousands of more visitors throughout the season.

The Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards are now open for entries - make sure to submit your entry to be considered for the 2023 awards! We also share details of how to register for the opportunity to receive tailored one to one advice on gathering and analysing your customer data, as well as our next local networking meeting which will take place at Castleton Farm on Wednesday 3 May.

As 2022 draws to a close, we are delighted to see Aberdeenshire listed as best place to visit in 2023 by Good Housekeeping magazine.
