Latest industry survey results - March 2026

February’s survey drew responses from a broad mix of tourism and hospitality operators across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, with the top responding categories being visitor attractions/experiences, self-catering businesses, hotels, tour providers and activity operators.

Respondents highlight clear structural pressures on both the supply and demand sides heading into Summer 2026, with 86% stating the rising cost of doing business will be a significant barrier during Summer 2026.

On the demand side, cost of living pressure topped the table with 84% predicting this will (continue to be) a significant barrier during Summer 2026.
